Kamala Hasn’t Been to Europe Either. Man, Please

VP…in charge of the border crisis. When the cover for Biden “media” asks even the softest question, she gets…let’s say…prickly. Without answering, btw.

Own up to this issue. And address it. You are the party with all the criticism of the previous president/administration. And all the emphasis on what matters (insert eye-roll). Yet….when you do have to explain yourself, you respond with attitude, not information.

Imagine…(another thought exercise)…imagine she faced questions from a legitimate press. Questions, mind you…not accusations…not hostility such as the media aimed at Trump.

When you do imagine that, please tell me how you see it. Because I can’t imagine: 1) an actual press that is doing its job and checking the government. 2) Kamala responding any way befitting her position as VP for the country. Can only see her skewered like when Tulsi was done.

Kamala Tells Them Not to Come

But…….that’s racist, isn’t it? Racist, heartless, sexist, xenophobic, racist. Or, apparently, it’s racist when it helps win the election. But when they win, and then are responsible for securing the border, then it’s not racist.

New challenge: someone site a clip of Kamala Harris answering a question directly. Without blaming Republicans. Without evading or twisting away from the question. (Giving her the benefit of some room because these reporters are so bad at asking questions…everything seems to be so loaded it is hard to answer directly without playing into the reporters bias and framing. Nevertheless…she isn’t good at evading…she just does it and doesn’t get called out for it.)

So VP Harris: are illegal immigrants…migrants who try to sneak in to the country…going to be turned away? Sent back? Starting when? And how?

Do we decide our borders, laws, and who has the right to be here? Or do some random people who violate our laws and systems decide? If it is them, when are you going to take down the gates (walls) that keep them out of your homes so they can move in when they want?

VP Harris: you are not running for office. You have a sworn duty to uphold and protect the Constitution and laws of this country. When will you start doing it?

Dr. Fauci said he supported doing it in China because you didn’t want to do it in New Jersey or Fairfax, Virginia. Because.?.?.?…..it’s dangerous, but it’s ok to endanger people in another country? Because.?.?.?…it’s dangerous, so it’s better to do it in a country without strict safety controls, protocols, or inspections rather than in the US where such inspections could be done diligently?

Dr. Fauci…the more he talks, the more, perhaps, maybe, possibly, the more people will wake up and recognize how he thinks. His obligation as a physician is to protect health and well-being. Ask yourself: has he been doing that?

When are You Partisan Rather Than Thinking?

….When your immediate response is to deny what someone else is saying…if it doesn’t match your view.

…When you do the “but the Repub/but the Demo!!” instead of asking for more info from the speaker. Instead of making sure you have let them actually express their thought, rather than hearing a trigger word or two and being triggered into your immediate denial.

…When you have no intellectual curiosity about what the other person has said, not even the “I don’t see how you could think that…where did you get that?” kind.

…When you rip out 1, 10, 2 dozen, need a calculator criticisms/mockings of “them” without one acknowledgement of your side’s weakness/problem/failing.

As one who is comfortable critiquing/criticizing politicians, government officials, and in these days the media, I find it frustratingly lonely not to be able to talk to people. Unless they think exactly like I do.

And…to be honest…I’m boring enough on my own. I don’t need to talk to someone who thinks just like I do.

What kind of people only want to hear what they already believe? Because, it is belief. It is faith of a sort. Faith that cannot be questioned.

Good thing we have Freedom of Religion.

When Did You Last Talk with Someone on the Other Side?

In the 1800s that question meant to talk to someone in the spirit world. Today….in 2021….it means to talk to someone on the other side of politics. So…if you’re a liberal/progressive Democrat, when was the last time you talked to a conservative Republican? If you’re a conservative Republican, when was the last time you talked to a liberal/progressive Democrat?

In the 1800s they did it with seances. What would it take today? Are there powerful enough mediums to transmit across the divide?

In classic seances, the people initiating were actually asking. Trying to find out. To learn something. They were curious. They were investigating. They recognized there were things they didn’t understand.

In our world so many people seem to have figured everything out. At least…in their own minds. Because what they don’t understand, they seem to downplay, dismiss, and ignore.

Yet…it is so clear…to anyone who can be detached and observe…that no one has all the answers. No one understands everything.

When was the last time you asked to learn something from/about the “other side”? Do you have the humility to ask…and listen?

What’s Going On?

Marvin Gaye was masterful. In words, music, and concept. And…in asking the question in the face of the absurdity and unreality of the reality. We are in a period now where we can ask the same question…with the same bafflement.

President Biden said less than 2 months ago that it was “neanderthal thinking” to reopen Texas and to end the mask mandate. Yesterday Texas marked a day with no deaths from/with covid. Zero. ….. This past weekend Biden announced the end of mask mandates (his authority to override the governors is, um, unclear). No acknowledgment that the governor of Texas…and governors of Mississippi, Florida, and other states, were the opposite of “neanderthal”. That they…actually…were following the best practices.

Waiting to see if the maskians, who marked their superiority of mind and understanding by wearing masks, sometimes double, and talking down to the “rednecks” and “covid deniers” who weren’t wearing masks, …..waiting to see if they will join Biden in demasking.

This is neither a statement of support or against wearing of masks. Rather the mentality of those who are well off enough to support businesses and schools being closed. And who are superior enough in their minds and understanding to condemn those who don’t think like they do.

When Trump stopped flights from Wuhan in Jan. 2020, many Ds and media called him racist. When Biden stopped flights from India in May 2021, …..gotta wait for the condemnations of racism. They won’t come. It isn’t “racism”. But it’s also the wrong guy doing it.

If they are unwilling to challenge their own understanding, to question their sources…what will it take?

Gallipoli, Vietnam, Afghanistan..Politicians Do Not Always Know What’s Best

Today is ANZAC Day, marking the landings at Gallipoli. A campaign of promise, bungled by so many experts, costing so many their lives. In a war that still, even over 100 years later, seems like such a colossal blunder carried out at horrific cost.

For the USA (and allies) Vietnam follows right in that. Politicians making decisions…as “experts”…with no overriding value or reason, except for their own myopic importance. Costing thousands and thousands of troops their lives…many more their peace of mind…not to mention the destruction rained down on Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.

Currently we are coming up on 20 years in Afghanistan. And…and….and…Democrats are arguing to extend the involvement. (Why?…..because the former President had negotiated to end it…and everything he did/said/thought/would think in the future was bad and must be opposed.)

We the people give power to the government. So often government members and politicians forget and act like they are truly the experts. And that they bestow privileges on us.

The states in the USA with the highest rates of covid infections and deaths are those that imposed the most stringent shutdowns, lockdowns, and controls. Yet expert Dr. Fauci says that is because of “non-compliance”. The experts….who are expert in fearmongering and in keeping power.

Where will we end up? After World War I 3 empires collapsed…revolutions broke out…and the “war to end all wars” led to wars in Turkey/Greece, Russia/Poland, civil wars and uprisings in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, the Caucasus. “Experts” must be watched carefully.

BLM: self-declared Marxists. For those who think that’s something like a zodiac sign, look it up. But use DuckDuckGo, not guugle.

BLM: self-declared Marxists…who use the donations they received exploiting deaths of black people to line their own pockets. Over $90 million received in donations…..where is it? Well, just came out…some $2.4 million went for a house for a BLM founder. Donations to help black people….she used to help her black self. When you’re a marxist, that actually makes sense.

BLM: self-declared Marxists. Do you know what Marxists do with the rights black people have? Do you know how long before they are not accountable to anyone, let alone black people?

If you don’t, then do a quick history read of the Soviet Union. Of Communist China. You sacrifice, so they can live in luxury.

Jim Crow 2.0? Say What?

Expanding voting hours….Jim Crow 2.0.

Requiring ID to vote the same as Northern states (see New York) and Western states (see Colorado) already do….Jim Crow 2.0.

If Georgia’s law is Jim Crow 2.0…what is New York operating under?

Or…is it….that for liberal/progressive Democrats to oppose something does not require thought. Just appropriate a term that references a bad thing and use it…even if it isn’t that?

Is that how Republicans became “fascists”? how Trump became Hitler (the idiocy of that comparison is exceeded only by those who believe it)? how governmental agents became “stormtroopers” (said loudest by the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi…who was alive when the real stormtroopers were wrecking havoc and destruction on millions of people)?

When they appropriate such terms of bad/horror, they cannot be respected or listened to. Because…fundamentally…they are distorting, misrepresenting to the point of deceiving.

Believe liberal/progressive Democrats at your peril. Listen to CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, CBS, NBC, the BBC, and other media outlets at your own peril. They didn’t cover…and still aren’t covering…Governor Cuomo’s disastrous order for nursing homes to accept Covid-19 positive patients. And have only come off the fawning exclamations of “great leadership” by Cuomo because of the multiple accusations by women who say he harassed them.

When will regular people become skeptical enough to say “prove it” even when they hear something they like? To say “I don’t believe it simply because you say it…you must prove it. And…if you can’t….then I will soon stop listening to you.”

Agenda First. Facts Only If Support.

How do you process information? Do you look for facts, information, confirmation? And then react, including updating your view based on the new information? Or do you have your view(s) set…and look for/interpret data, information, input to fit what you already believe? And….ignore or discard input that doesn’t fit your narrative?

The assumptions about the shooter in Colorado…the condemnation of him as a “white nationalist”…without ANY information…should have been astonishing. However, in this day and time, it is not surprising at all. Blame what you want…without ANY information.

And then, when he turns out to be a Muslim immigrant….silence. No ownership of your prejudice. No acknowledgement of your bigotry. No humility in seeing your own arrogance.

The “black nationalist follower of Farrakhan” who committed the act of terror at the Capital a few days ago….are you able to say the above description? Or are you silent?

When you partisanship..when your politics…when your bigotry determines your interpretation…when you are a ………..? (see below for the answer) (Below: a Liberal/Progressive Democrat).

Why are you so bigoted? So arrogant? Why don’t you let the facts come forth before you condemn? Do you think you won’t have time to condemn once they do (if you are right)?
