“The Resistance” ~4 Years In

After the tears, wailing, screeching, screaming on election night November 2016 came the light of day. When so many Democrats declared:

“He’s NOT MY PRESIDENT!!!”

But . . .

. .because he was going to be, . . .

. . . the cry then arose:

“Impeach him!!!”

When reminded that he had not even been inaugurated yet, . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . .the cry then arose:

“Resist!!!Resist!!!Resist!!!”

No reflection. No recognition. No true willingness to try to understand what they missed, since they had no idea Trump could win the election. No idea that so many millions of Americans had a different point of view from them.

Consider:

—Bill Clinton’s actions: excused, covered for, and cheered by so many, especially women, especially feminists. Even though Clinton engaged in arguable sexual harassment toward several women over many years. Labeling those victims (using Democratic terminology) not as women…but as “trailer park trash” and “bimbos”.

—Trump’s words: Foaming at the mouth Pink Pussy Hat Marches denouncing him.

Yet……

. . .Even after that. . .

. . . . . . . no reflection. No recognition. No true denunciation of Clinton, or his primary champion Hillary Clinton.

??Is the reaction of Democrats in this because they know, somewhere deep down, that they covered for Clinton, threw the women under the bus, and were complicit every day thereafter…even 20 years later?? If not, what accounts for the fundamental inconsistency of Democrats in this?

And…how can non-Democrats accept what Democrats say when they speak/act/react with such hypocrisy?

Consider:

—Democrats abandoning the principal of innocent until proven guilty when declaring “you must believe the woman!”. Even though there was not one bit of evidence to support her accusation. Abandoning the concept that the accuser has to make the case…even to be listened too, so that the accused does not have to disprove a negative.

??Do Democrats consider that some day….one day….they will be the ones accused? And there will be no standard safeguard to protect them, because they will have destroyed it….???

Consider:

—“Protests”. We have the unalienable right to assemble and protest. Described in the Constitution as “peaceful”. Minneapolis: $500 million dollars in federal aid requested by the Democrat governor for damages caused in those “protests”.

Seattle: Democrat Mayor abandoned blocks of the city. Damage totals still coming in. At least 2 people killed in the zone by others in the zone. Black lives ended…black lives that did not matter.

Portland: over 100 days of “protests”. That have been declared by law enforcement as “riots” many, many days.

???How can Democrats support riots? How can the media such as CNN get away with calling them “peaceful protests” or “mostly peaceful protests”??

And…how can non-Democrats accept what Democrats say when they speak/act/react with such distortion and dishonesty?

Speech…and Hate

There is no such thing as “Hate Speech”.

There is Speech…And there are codes liberal/progressives use to shut down speech they do not want to hear.

Freedom of Speech: I have the right to say what I want. I determine the meaning. And…in this day and age we must declare….I, and I alone, decide my intention.

Liberal/progressives seem to believe that the immutable right is to hear…and pass judgment. “Hate Speech” gives the listener/reader the authority. Even to declare that I said what I did with hate. To decide my motivation, if you will.

Imagine as this develops: A white person tries to keep within the lines and not say anything that is “hate speech”. He asks a black person to review his words and give him clearance to speak those words..pronouncing them not “hate speech”. Which, let’s say, she does. Then…he goes to another place. Does he need to get approval from the next black person?

Realizing how hard it would be for a white person to have to get approval from each black person for the same words…or image on a t-shirt….or a hat…liberal/progressives decide to issue identifiers (not because it should be easier for white people…but because the offended people shouldn’t have to take care of white people). So that anyone who is in the group that can be offended will know immediately that this an approved white person.

Imagine: They decide to issue badges. To be worn by the approved white person. For ease of visibility they are worn outside the clothing at all times. And in a bright color, so they can be seen even in dim light.

Badges that show the white person has been approved. Temporarily, of course. Reviewed again with the next utterance.

.

.

Just a thought extending out from the concept that the listener/hearer is the one who decides whether specific speech/image is hate.

History does not repeat itself. But echoes are there, for those who are listening. If you believe in “hate speech”, then you cannot believe in the Freedom of Speech.

.

.

Notice how I don’t try to offend. Never really been my style or interest. But…also notice…I decide my intention with my speech. Notice that I am not responsible for the reaction/response of the listener/hearer. Even if they are offended. That is their right/freedom. And I will not surrender that to liberal/progressives.

I might even ask…

……what if one of these days, it becomes “hate speech” to speak ill toward black people who believe in Freedom of Speech…

….what if one of these days, it becomes “hate speech” to speak ill toward a black person or a gay person who is “conservative”…

…what if one of the days, it becomes “hate speech” to speak ill toward someone who is religious, including even white Christians.

At that point….will they think power to decide speech should be in the hands of the listener/hearer?

Democrats, Systemic Racism, and Blame Trump

Systemic Racism…….

“Systemic”: in common understanding is referring to “the system”…most easily defined as the government, institutions, and even organizations/businesses. With an obvious example being the police and policing practices (commenting on such must and shall be restricted to another post…).

“Systemic” also includes an element of time. The recent renewed attention on policing practices, particularly toward black Americans, comes out of policing practices over many years…decades even.

For example, Eric Garner died during an encounter with New York City police in 2014. Rodney King was beaten by Los Angeles police in 1991. The Black Panthers were formed in Oakland, California in 1966 in response to policing practices. The Watts Riots in Los Angeles occurred in 1964.

Police forces in the U.S. are local, i.e. city/county, or state. These many different police departments answer to the mayor/city council/county board of supervisors. Or to the governor/state legislature. As such, there are easily hundreds of separate police forces in the U.S.

Democrats have been in control of most cities for decades. For many states, such as Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, California, Maryland, among others, Democrats have been in control. On a national level since 1932, Democrats have controlled Congress, the law making body, for most of the time, or at least have controlled one of the two houses of Congress.

Democrats have also controlled the Presidency more years than not since 1932, most recently, of course, for 8 years of Clinton, 1992-2000 (election years), and then 8 years of Obama (2008-2016).

Donald Trump became part of the system in January 2017.

How can Democrats get away with blaming Trump for systemic racism?

They don’t just blame Republicans. They blame Trump.

How can the media get away with not challenging that narrative?

How can so many Americans treat it as the complete picture? With the unstated certainty that if Trump is voted out, then the systemic racism ends.

Now….now is the time to ask.

Rights and Freedoms in 2020

The Liberty Blog

Rights…….

Freedoms……

Liberties………….

Who supports your rightsWho respects your freedoms and libertiesWho limits them?

In August 2020 when we look at words and actions of those in political power, a stark difference appears.  Governors and mayors declaring that we cannot go to church, or that we can only go with a small number of people……yet we can protest.  Provided, of course, that you recite the slogan.  If you do, you can not only protest, but you can smash windows, break into locked cars and buildings, take property that belongs to someone else, set fire to buildings.

And….you will not be prosecuted.  In New York you will not even be arrested.  And the mayor will join you.  As will mayors in other cities.  And some governors in other states.  Even when they are arresting other people for engaging in their livelihoods.

Arrests for barbers/stylists for cutting people’s hair.  Arrests for gym owners who opened their business.

Abandonment of blocks of the city, ordered by the chief elected official for the city, the mayor.  Abandonment of the people who live there, who work there, who shop/do business there, who drive through there on their way to and fro.

Abandonment of her responsibility to the people of her city.  Leaving specific ones with guns “in charge”.  Unelected by the people.  Unaccountable to the people.

It is easy to say “they elected that mayor (New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, et. al.), so they are getting what they voted for.”  Easy because it is true.

Yet this is our country.  These mayors and governors are failing to do their duty toward all of us, the American people.  They are restricting our rights, freedoms, and liberties, while supporting the destruction of property, peace, and public safety.

The time has come for us to declare we are free and independent.  We have unalienable rights.  We created government and government will serve us.  Not the other way around.

November is a long way off.  It will be here soon.

Consider the choice:  rights, freedoms, liberty or governmental restrictions, limitations, control (unless you recite the slogan).

Consider the choice:  you can vote for America.  Or you can vote Democrat.
