Rights and Freedoms in 2020

The Liberty Blog

Rights…….

Freedoms……

Liberties………….

Who supports your rightsWho respects your freedoms and libertiesWho limits them?

In August 2020 when we look at words and actions of those in political power, a stark difference appears.  Governors and mayors declaring that we cannot go to church, or that we can only go with a small number of people……yet we can protest.  Provided, of course, that you recite the slogan.  If you do, you can not only protest, but you can smash windows, break into locked cars and buildings, take property that belongs to someone else, set fire to buildings.

And….you will not be prosecuted.  In New York you will not even be arrested.  And the mayor will join you.  As will mayors in other cities.  And some governors in other states.  Even when they are arresting other people for engaging in their livelihoods.

Arrests for barbers/stylists for cutting people’s hair.  Arrests for gym owners who opened their business.

Abandonment of blocks of the city, ordered by the chief elected official for the city, the mayor.  Abandonment of the people who live there, who work there, who shop/do business there, who drive through there on their way to and fro.

Abandonment of her responsibility to the people of her city.  Leaving specific ones with guns “in charge”.  Unelected by the people.  Unaccountable to the people.

It is easy to say “they elected that mayor (New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, et. al.), so they are getting what they voted for.”  Easy because it is true.

Yet this is our country.  These mayors and governors are failing to do their duty toward all of us, the American people.  They are restricting our rights, freedoms, and liberties, while supporting the destruction of property, peace, and public safety.

The time has come for us to declare we are free and independent.  We have unalienable rights.  We created government and government will serve us.  Not the other way around.

November is a long way off.  It will be here soon.

Consider the choice:  rights, freedoms, liberty or governmental restrictions, limitations, control (unless you recite the slogan).

Consider the choice:  you can vote for America.  Or you can vote Democrat.
