Chris Cuomo is getting credit for “standing by his brother”. Yet…as a presenter on the Cable NEWS Network, CNN, he had an ethical obligation to either be neutral regarding his brother, (former) Gov. Andrew Cuomo, ….OR…….RECUSE himself.
Judges do it. Lawyers do it. Doctors do it. In many hospitals/systems, doctors can’t order medicine or care for a close relative. Because that could/would be a conflict of interest. Ethics in such cases require the separation of the person to prevent the APPEARANCE of a POTENTIAL conflict.
Chris Cuomo operated without such ethics for almost 2 years, at least. His completely inappropriate “interviewing” of his brother during the early months of covid, with thousands of New Yorkers having been hospitalized and even died because Gov. Cuomo ordered infected people INTO NURSING HOMES…..covered none of that.
CNN allowed this. CNN’s ethics are also not evident.
So now…now CNN has fired him. Claiming “new information” has come to light.
Watch CNN at your own peril. Believe CNN at our peril.
And…how long will it be before Chris Cuomo reappears on MSNBC?
The “media” is not to be trusted. Why are they trusted?
