Days of Despair
Is there anyone out there?
Whose eyes are open
And whose eyes can see
The erosion of our rights
And the destruction of our society?
Who hear the “educated” deride those who don’t follow
While they choose “safety” over liberty
So sure in their faith they never check their sources
While we’re herded to the precipice like a bunch of horses.
When the “news” is propaganda worthy of Trotsky
When belief unto Fauci sets you free
When those who question are dimwitted reactionaries
Who must be silenced or derided unto obscurity
“Freedom Day” used to be a statement of independence
Now in Oz it is just letting the good boys and girls out for a bit to play
The star they now require might not be yellow
But you will do what they say….you WILL OBEY
