How do you process information? Do you look for facts, information, confirmation? And then react, including updating your view based on the new information? Or do you have your view(s) set…and look for/interpret data, information, input to fit what you already believe? And….ignore or discard input that doesn’t fit your narrative?
The assumptions about the shooter in Colorado…the condemnation of him as a “white nationalist”…without ANY information…should have been astonishing. However, in this day and time, it is not surprising at all. Blame what you want…without ANY information.
And then, when he turns out to be a Muslim immigrant….silence. No ownership of your prejudice. No acknowledgement of your bigotry. No humility in seeing your own arrogance.
The “black nationalist follower of Farrakhan” who committed the act of terror at the Capital a few days ago….are you able to say the above description? Or are you silent?
When you partisanship..when your politics…when your bigotry determines your interpretation…when you are a ………..? (see below for the answer) (Below: a Liberal/Progressive Democrat).
Why are you so bigoted? So arrogant? Why don’t you let the facts come forth before you condemn? Do you think you won’t have time to condemn once they do (if you are right)?
